Hi Richard, might I suggest you check with Rob as he has posted details of the longest ride on the shortest day on the 23rd. (see calendar) Should be a good one.

I think I am getting a whiff of JAFA syndrome.

Dear Slack, please do me a favour and explain precisely what this syndrome is.

He did talk about misunderstanding etc. but I think Philip's statements were clear enough and they were not misunderstood. My wife and I were both former members of the executive and while my own contribution might have been debatable, I know that hers was above and beyond the call of duty. So I've felt personally offended by Philips little side show. My guess is that I am not the only one. Well said Alex, Jean and I have both served two terms on the exec over the years and "offended" would be putting it mildly in describing how we feel.

Colin, you've made it quite clear what you think of Terry's letter, I wonder if you'd care to let us know what you thought of Phillip King's words as reported in the minutes of the last AGM.

I am sure the moderator could police this without too much hassle.

You mean somebody trustworthy is going to replace me some time soon, Alex? 😉 😉 😉

Be a shame to loose this forum to the censor, we'd have to dig out the old flags!

Have Anakees on mine Darryl with no problems, they were on when I bought it and I see no reason to change. Good on the seal and no probs on metal of varying conditions and in the Riverhead in dry conditions.  Rode on Tourances when I had the 1200 and they too were good reliable tyres. HTH.

A cynic would smile if the dates set for the AGM/NAT RALLY next year are 17/19 Jan, being that Wellington Anniversary day is the 20th January.  ::)

Don't forget the AGM will also be at the National rally perhaps time for a name change

I had forgotten Darryl but that makes the Warbirds even more attractive.

and about a quarter of members would be retired anyhow.

Don't think life ends with retirement Alex we've been at least as busy but with different priorities.  Actually for us the later date will work better because we like to spend the Christmas/New Year days with family who are trapped in the "work" cycle.  However it's Warbirds over Wanaka again next Easter and we had such a good trip last year we may do it all again next.  🙂

Thanks for the update Bruce.  I'm not sure about the “Tweenie” label but as I haven't like some taken the time to build a personal web site where friends can catch up on my happenings I do find FB useful and sometimes entertaining.

Yes they were Bruce, however a reply to my mail would have been the polite thing to do but clearly I expect too much.

Not bored Alex, quite the opposite but you've expressed yourself and probably others quite succinctly.  If I wrote what I think I imagine boss man Bwusie might have to censor me.  I could write to the exec directly but I'm still waiting for a reply to the letter I wrote to them early in December.

As you're going to be a landlord perhaps you'll be towing a small caravan around the country behind the strom? hmmm – maybe not, back to a beemer then.
