    Touring NZ in Feb
    Hello - we are a small group from Australia - (3 BMW's amongst us) shipping/hiring bikes and exploring the south island from 9th - 22nd Feb next year.
    I asked for some local advice through this forum and would like to thank Ian & Carol Sowden for their invaluable assistance.
    Anyway - plans are all set - we start at Christchurch - Lewis Pass to Punakaiki, then to Metheven (Arthurs Pass) then Mt Cook, Queenstown, TeAnau, Milford, Wanaka, Fox, Hokitika back to Cchc - so if any fellow BMW riders spot us on our merry way - give us a wave - or if we look lost - you might help with directions....maybe we'll catch up with some of you for a drink!!     three bits of advice.
    1. buy a Lonely Planet NZ - great tool
    2. buy his book http://www.mcycle.co.nz/
    3. shagging sheep is illegal in NZ even though ok in OZ
