First ride on the F700GS

Well I bit the bullet and traded the R1200GS Triple Black on a F700GS. With my health being a bit crap these days the Triple Black was just too heavy (and top heavy) for me. I rode a F700GS through Southern Africa last year and quite liked it – hopefully it will do all I need it to do. Panniers were not interchangeable so have bought a new set of panniers – got a good price for the topbox on the Triple Black so have bought a top box as well.Still all being sorted so will be interesting to see how I find the change.

Hope you like it and enjoy riding it. I made the change to what was then called the F650GS 8 years ago, and haven't looked back. Next change will probably be another downsize to the G310R, or the G310GS if they make one of those before too long. The best change I've made to the F650GS was replacing the windscreen with an Aeroflow one, and installing a chain oiler, which makes a mess, but has kept the chain and sprockets going for more than 60,000 km.
