Cool, pay European prices and get a Chinese product, this might not go as well as they hope it will.

My Bridgestone Battlewings 501/502 are on their last leg at 13000km. Possibly good for another 1000km at the most. Gravel cuts them up pretty good. They are ok on the road and quite a bit cheaper than the Tourance, but you get what you pay for. I am not sure what I will use next.

My guess is that it will come in close to $20000

Thaks for the suggestions..here's how I eventually fixed(?) it...After ansking the same question in a few forums on the 'net, the most common response was "drill it..." - so I drilled a small hole at an angle of about 45 degrees from just under the handle into the inner part of the cap  - then put a pin (a cut offm=nail in fact) down into the hole I had just drilled. This locked the outer to the inner so to speak, and now the cap works just like new, and when the handle on the cap is put back in place you'd never know what has been done.Cheers, Rick

Thanks for reporting back Rick. It's always good to hear how things work out.Cheers,Alex

I've seen most of the photos. There is no rush. Henry probably doesn't even know yet about any new bikes, but am sure we'll get to see one in the flesh eventually.  I really like it, but I can easily wait for a coupe of years. My GS is barely run in.

We're talking about the first bit that heats up in the hose. Once you get past that it's fine.

It will be interesting to see the specifications. Looking at it I'd say it will way the same or close to the current F650GS. I like the looks of it, could be a big seller for BMW.

I am assuming you are talking about the registration label. I was stopped at a check point 3 days ago. Mine is attached to the starter-motor cover and this wasn't a problem.  Only a pedantic %#@# would issue a ticket for that.

Reistration label is now a licence label and the registatation plate is now a number plate. You tell me! How the hell is the public surpose to get it right if the Land Transport can not.

And a cheese cutter is now a safety device :-). It happens when bureaucrats get bored and feel the need to justify their position 👿

We have one of those camelback bladders. I went back to a water bottle, because every time I use it, I get a mouthful of dust, followed by warm water. I can see how they would be useful during a race or in situations where you just can't afford to stop much.

Here is their suggestion:Petrol Cap Jammed?  This is not uncommon on older Boxers, the cap spinning round but not unscrewing! It can be removed without damage to paintwork by standing on the footrests, and passing a rope through the filler cap handle; tie it into a loop around your shoulders, and heave - the whole cap will pop out easily.
