Hi, hope someone can help out. we have a chance to visit the south of France next year for about a fortnight and want to do a bit of a tour around. Does anybody know of a good Motorcycle hire place (BMW hopefully) that we can use while we are there. Appreciated.

Hi there. We're heading off to Europe for a 6 week motorcycle tour next year and are intending renting bikes from IMT in Spain. We intend to fly to Barcelona and pick up bikes there, do our trip anti-clockwise effectively around Europe then return the bikes to Barcelona. The border with France is only a couple of hours away  (190 kms to Perpignan in south of France). Check out http://www.imtbike.com. You can see what bikes they have – all/only BMWs, you can check availability and prices, and book on line. they offer storage – but do not provide helmets. They seem to have a very good reputation. Hi, sorry taken soo long to reply but I have been extremely busy over the past few months. We finally booked our bikes (F650GS 800cc) through http://www.rental-motorcycle.com in Nice, however I think it goes through the US, they were very helpful and quick with replies to emails.The bike come with panniers, top box and helmets and unlimited K's. They did recommend that we take our own helmets as can't gaurantee good fit and we probably will as they have our comms fitted. Not sure how to take them yet? Unfortunatly we can only spend a week now but still any time is better than none. Hope this helps if you haven't already booked.Pete
