The bottom picture is a Davis, from about 1950. It was intended for seating 4 adults side by side, although I think they would have to be squeezed beforehand. There's a non-convertible one in the Southward car museum.

Hmmm, had to think about this Billy, I think they (CanAm manufacturers) emphasise it is not a motorbike because it has three wheels and therefore doesn't handle in the same way as a motorbike, eg motorbicycle a two wheeled vehicle rather than a three or four wheeled vehicle.Simply what we're looking at is a motortricycle and as far as I can see it could easily be steered with a wheel just as the Morgan and other three wheeled cars. I'm not sure if a motorbicycle could be steered safely with a wheel because of the need to counter steer but I'm open to offers.
