Looking for the best tires for My R1200GS only got 19,000 k's so far out of them and starting to wear very flat on the rear will be lucky to get another 1,000 Ks out of them and about another 3-4,000 out of the front. They are Anakee'3s very good grip but a little more grip on tar bleed would be nice, try and stay of that stuff.mainly used for 2up touring and 1 South Island Trip. Want Tires that You shoot up a gravel road on the very rear occasion. Any thoughts for a better tire?
HI Richardtry the new tk70 looks good .I wouldn't complain about 19,000kms on a tyre , u must be riding it at less than legal speed no fun in that.

PR4T rear did 10k (that was actually disappointing). A3 set I got 16k and was very impressed. A2 set was about 11k.Another option for you would be Heidenau. Got 10k from a K76 rear, done 9k on a K60 rear and it's not finished. It's a more agressive option for off road, the compound is hard and long lasting, but the trade off is I hated the wet road grip, found it pretty slippery.Conti Trail Attack might be an option, I think there is a new 2 version? Trying the original, I was one of those with a shimmy at any speed (some people reported problems, others said no problem, all 12GS) so I sold them to Neil at Experience and he got 30k ish on them.I've put a PR4T front on 3 weeks ago and done 3k so far, and just replaced the PR4T rear with a PR4 (you can get the correct size, just the compounds are different) so let's see how that goes...
Sounds like the Anakee 3's might be the tire of choice slightly more noise than PR 3's I had on before but a lot better than Anakee 2's.
