(my bike is a 1992 K1100LT)1) what make and grade of transmission oil do YOU recommend2) do you have a favourite additive that you swear by3) is guard dog moly available in nz and if so where aboutsI live in Christchurchthanks ross
Is guard dog moly an oil additive, or a spline lubricant grease? I found the following thread on bmwsporttouring.com, which is a few years old, but which has a couple of alternatives for spline lubrication. Including one from Honda which may or may not be available in NZ.http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=800724&page=1And welcome to the forum!

https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/motul-production/images/distributions/picture_2s/113/normal/1L_Gearbox_80W90_1L.jpg?1332776062I have been running this stuff in the gearbox for quite some time and am very happy with it. Transmission is smoother shifting and less noisy.
